Privacy Policy — Catapultia: Castle Battle
Effective date: 30 October 2026
Catapultia: Castle Battle (“the game”) is made by Rampart Forge, an individual developer. Contact: papushin79872@gmail.com.
In short: the game has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no in-app purchases. It does not ask for your name, contacts or location. Data leaves your phone only when you play over the internet or over Wi-Fi, or when you send a bug report yourself.
What data is used and why
On your phone. The game stores your settings (sound, controls, graphics, language), a note that lets you return to an interrupted online match, the statistics of that match and its own log files (the last 5 runs). They stay on your phone; the log is used only when you send a bug report.
Playing against the computer. Nothing leaves your phone.
Playing over the internet (room code). Your phone connects to our game server. The server receives:
- the IP address of your phone. The connection needs it, and the server uses it to limit abuse (too many connections or rooms from one address);
- the game version, the room code and the moves of the match. Your moves also go to your opponent in the room.
The connection is encrypted (DTLS). The match itself exists only in the server’s memory while the room is open. A room closes when nobody joins within 10 minutes or 10 minutes after the match ends. The server keeps a technical log for up to 14 days: connection lines with IP addresses and a short summary of each turn (turn number, castle state, gold, wind, the winner) with the room code. After 14 days the log is deleted automatically.
Playing over Wi-Fi. To show your game to other players in the same Wi-Fi network, the hosting phone announces its model name (for example, “SM-S938B”), the game version and its local network address. Phones that host or join a Wi-Fi match send their model name and game version to each other; the moves go directly between the two phones. This data stays in your local network and does not reach us. It is not encrypted.
Bug reports. A report is sent only when you press “Send” (Settings → Report a problem, or the offer after the game had errors). A report contains:
- the game version and build, the Android version, the phone model, the processor name (if the phone reports it) and the number of cores, the graphics card model and graphics API;
- the screen size, refresh rate and the size of the camera cutout area, the game’s graphics settings, the language of the game and of the phone (with region), the current game screen, the frame rate and how long the game has been running;
- errors and the last lines of the game log of the current run and, when you send the report about the previous run, of the previous run (with its date). Log lines may contain room codes and the model name of a Wi-Fi opponent;
- the text you type in “What happened?”, if any. Please do not type personal information there.
IP addresses are removed from the log lines, and no files from your phone are attached. The report is sent encrypted (DTLS). Our server stores it for up to 60 days and then deletes it automatically. The server does not store the sender’s IP address with an accepted report; refused or broken attempts (for example, too many reports from one address) appear with the IP address in the 14-day log.
To find the cause of a bug, the developer downloads reports to a computer and deletes these copies within 60 days of receiving them. The developer may use an AI assistant (Claude by Anthropic) to read a report while looking for the cause; Anthropic processes this data under its own terms.
Google Play. Google Play may collect crash and performance data under Google’s own privacy policy, if you allowed this in your Android settings. In Google Play Console we see crash reports with technical details (for example, the error, the device model and the Android version), not your identity.
Who gets the data
We do not sell the data. Apart from the AI assistant described above, we do not pass the data to anyone. Our game server runs on a virtual server we rent in Germany; the hosting company provides the hardware and does not receive the data from us for its own use. Your opponent receives only the moves of the match.
How the data is protected
Internet play and bug reports are encrypted (DTLS). The server’s operating system can be accessed only with the developer’s SSH key (password login is turned off). The server limits connections and reports from one address.
How long the data is kept and how to delete it
- The server log (IP addresses and turn summaries): up to 14 days, deleted automatically.
- Bug reports: up to 60 days on the server, deleted automatically; the developer’s copies are deleted within 60 days.
- The match in the server’s memory: only while the room is open.
- Data on your phone: until you uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings.
To delete a bug report earlier, write to papushin79872@gmail.com and tell us roughly when you sent it and your phone model. We will delete it. Entries in the server log cannot be matched to a person and are deleted automatically within 14 days.
Legal basis and your rights
We process the IP address and match data to run online play and to protect the server from abuse (our legitimate interest), and bug reports because you choose to send them (your consent). You can ask us about the data or ask to delete it by writing to papushin79872@gmail.com. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The game is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
